SU Yang (with Doug McAdam) is recently
accepted for publication in American Sociological Review. The paper,
titled "Antiwar Protest and Congressional Voting, 1965-1973", will appear

at ChinaRains (4/20/2001:"Domestic Reaction to US Aggression War: The Case

[Autumn 2002] A study
on the Chinese Cultural Revolution co-authored by SU Yang (with

in its March 2003 issue. Based on more than 1550 volumes of county annals
(xianzhi), the study is the most systematic account to date about the mass
movement in the countryside. The paper is primarily crafted and written
by Andrew Walder, but reflects the instrumental role by SU Yang in the
research design and data collection. SU Yang, now assistant professor at
UC Irvine, is former member (1996-2002) and coordinator (1997-1998) of
ChinaRains. Three current ChinaRains members (ZHAO Litao, ZHENG Lu and

to the project.
